Strong Client Growth
Added 225,000 net new funded accounts in Q1; total funded accounts reached 3.59 million, up 34% year-over-year and 7% quarter-over-quarter. Malaysia led client additions for the quarter; Singapore delivered double-digit sequential growth in net new funded accounts.
Record Trading Volume and Market Activity
Total trading volume reached a record HKD 4.15 trillion, up 29% YoY and 4% QoQ. U.S. stock trading volume remained broadly stable at ~HKD 3 trillion; Hong Kong stock trading volume rose 22% sequentially to HKD 1 trillion.
Revenue and Gross Profit Expansion
Total revenue was HKD 5.9 billion, up 25% YoY. Gross profit was HKD 5.1 billion, up 29% YoY, with gross margin improving to 87.2% from 84% YoY.
AUM and Wealth Product Momentum
Total client assets were flat QoQ but up 47% YoY. Period-end wealth client assets were HKD 178.4 billion, up 28% YoY. Net asset inflows were the second-highest quarterly inflow on record; structured-product retail subscribers doubled sequentially.
Margin Financing and Client Quality Improvement
Margin financing and securities lending balance increased 8% QoQ to HKD 72.9 billion. Average client assets in several overseas markets (e.g., Singapore) have grown substantially (Singapore AUM CAGR >50% over 3 years), and average AUM per overseas client reached ~USD 18,000.
International Expansion and New Market Access
Overseas accounts surpassed 2 million; revenue in five overseas markets more than doubled YoY. Plans announced to launch South Korean stock trading (expected initial rollout in Hong Kong and Singapore in June) and continued expansion in Japan, U.S., Australia and Canada.
New Business Licenses and Product Capabilities
PantherTrade obtained second-phase approval for HK SFC VATP license and commenced full operations. Moomoo/Futu received U.S. approval to operate prediction-market brokerage/clearing (FCM/NFA interaction) and is preparing to launch event/prediction contracts; plans to expand crypto services (OTC, more tokens, staking) and introduce security-backed financing for virtual assets.
IPO Distribution and Capital Markets Strength
Served 625 IPO distribution and IR clients (up 26% YoY). Twelve IPOs on the platform each had >HKD 100 billion subscription demand; acted as overall coordinator for six issuers and joint bookrunner on several prominent Hong Kong IPOs.
Capital Return to Shareholders
Management has repurchased approximately USD 418 million of ADSs to date under the USD 800 million repurchase program announced in November 2025, signaling confidence in long-term prospects.
