Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Low Financial Leverage And Sizable EquityConsistent zero reported debt and sizable equity provide durable financial flexibility for a capital‑intensive development company. Low leverage reduces bankruptcy risk, supports continued permitting and project studies, and preserves optionality for JV or staged funding over the next 2–6 months.
Clear Single-asset Development FocusA concentrated strategy on the Salamanca project concentrates management expertise and capital allocation, improving execution clarity and making the company an identifiable partner for strategic investors or offtake counterparties. That focus supports measurable progress through development milestones.
Revenue Recovery Trend Vs 2021–2022Revenue recovery from the 2021–22 trough to higher receipts in 2023–2024 indicates improving operational activity tied to development work. Although still small, the trend and moderating cash burn suggest progress in project execution and lower incremental financing need if the trend continues.
Bears Say
Persistent Negative Cash GenerationOngoing negative operating and free cash flow is a structural weakness for a developer. Reliance on external funding raises dilution and execution risk, and if capital markets tighten or partner talks stall, the company may face constrained ability to sustain studies, permitting or construction timelines.
Pre‑profit Business With Operating LossesRecurring negative gross profit and EBIT indicate the company has not reached operating scalability. Structural unprofitability undermines internal funding capability, increases dependency on capital raises, and elevates execution risk for bringing the Salamanca project to production.
Historical Balance-sheet Stress RiskPast episodes of high debt and negative equity demonstrate vulnerability if losses persist. Even with current zero debt, continued cash burn or adverse project outcomes could quickly reintroduce leverage or dilution, posing a durable risk to shareholder value and project continuity.
