Earlier in the day, upbeat results from companies such as Coca-Cola (KO) helped push the Dow Jones above 47,000 for the first time. The S&P 500 ended nearly unchanged, and the Nasdaq Composite fell slightly as tech stocks cooled off.

Investors are now watching for Tesla’s (TSLA) earnings on Wednesday, which will kick off reports from the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants.

Looking ahead, Friday’s inflation report is a major focus, especially since other data releases are paused due to the government shutdown.
