After two years as CEO of Elon Musk’s X, Linda Yaccarino announced she was stepping down from the position, Suzanne Vranica, Alexander Saeedy, and Jessica Toonkel of The Wall Street Journal reports. Yaccarino told people close to her the return of some advertisers and the recent merger with xAI made it a good time to depart. While holding the position, she often had to deal with the repercussions of her boss’ erratic behavior, which made it difficult to bring back the advertising customers she was hired to woo. Additionally, Yaccarino was demoted in X’s merger with xAI.
