Xbox chief marketing officer Jerret West will leave Microsoft (MSFT) at the end of June to become the new CMO and market expansion head at Roblox (RBLX), The Verge’s Tom Warren reports. Microsoft Gaming boss Phil Spencer confirmed the change in an internal memo to Xbox staff today, which was obtained by The Verge. Spencer told workers that the Microsoft Gaming leadership team has “decided to place marketing closer to the businesses they support” due to West’s exit, with games marketing now slated to exist within the game content and studios unit led by Matt Booty, the author notes.
