BofA downgraded WEC Energy to Underperform from Neutral with a price target of $78, down from $84. Shares trade at about an 11% premium to the broader utility group although WEC’s premium characteristics “have been eroding of late,” the analyst tells investors. The firm has concerns about a negative surprise in the Illinois gas outcome as well as ongoing balance sheet pressures, the analyst added.
