Warner Bros. Discovery to keep Discovery+ as stand-alone service, WSJ says

Warner Bros. Discovery intends to keep Discovery+ as a stand-alone streaming service after previously planning to combine content in a single subscription app, the Wall Street Journal’s Jessica Toonkel and Joe Flint report, citing people familiar with the matter. Rather than merging HBO Max and Discovery+ in their entirety, Warner Discovery will launch a platform featuring HBO Max content and most Discovery+ content, but Discovery+ will remain available as a stand-alone option.
