W.P. Carey initiated with an Equal Weight at Barclays

Barclays initiated coverage of W.P. Carey with an Equal Weight rating and $40 price target. The REIT is exposed to some of the same dynamics as other industrial REITs, but both its growth and risk profile tend to be lower, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Relative to its peers, W.P. Carey has a limited mark-to-market opportunity, and while this dynamic actually maximizes the yields on assets, it does not generate as much investor excitement, the firm added.
