Volkswagen CEO Oliver Blume told German newspaper FAZ that the car maker is aiming to avoid establishing “utopian” goals for its electric vehicle market share in China, noting that anything about 10% is “very respectable” given the competitive environment, Reuters’ Victoria Waldersee reports. Blume said the company “cannot keep up at the top of the table at the moment,” adding that new models set to roll out in coming years would improve the car maker’s standing, the author notes.
