Uber, Lyft trade group asks Julie Su about view on gig workers, Reuters says

The Flex Association, a trade group representing rideshare and delivery companies such as Lyft (LYFT) and Uber (UBER), is requesting that Julie Su, President Biden’s nominee to oversee the U.S. Department of Labor, outline her position on worker-classification rules, Reuters’ Nandita Bose reports. The group sent a letter to the president asking that Su explain how she would implement a proposed rule that could make it easier for workers to be classified as employees rather than independent contractors in a "manner that protects independent work," the author notes.
