Uber (UBER) Eats said it is rolling out new features powered by AI, real-time communication, and community-driven content to support merchants in their long-term success. Of note, the company introduced a suite of new AI features to help restaurants analyze customer reviews, auto-fill menu descriptions, and enhance food photos, including features that summarize customer reviews, create AI-generated menu descriptions, and “enhance” food photos. Uber is also launching a new tool that lets merchants initiate chats directly with customers once an order has been received – helping to prevent issues before they arise. Live order chat can help improve order accuracy by enabling real-time communication to confirm replacements for out-of-stock items, clarify special requests, and check in on dietary or allergy preferences, the company said.
