The United Auto Workers union intends to submit a labor contract counterproposal on economic issues to Ford (F), Reuters’ David Shepardson reports, citing a source. The car maker said last week it had offered a 9% wage increase through 2027, which is significantly less than the 46% wage increase being sought by UAW, the author says. The union anticipates receiving a proposal from General Motors (GM) on Thursday, the author notes.
