Net interest income was $214.7M for the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to $232.1M for the third quarter of 2023. The decrease in net interest income was primarily due to a decrease in loans held for investment, mortgage finance yields, as well as increases in funding costs and average interest-bearing liabilities. Net interest margin for the fourth quarter of 2023 was 2.93%, a decrease of 20 basis points from the third quarter of 2023. LHI, excluding mortgage finance, yields increased 7 basis points from the third quarter of 2023 and LHI, mortgage finance yields decreased 152 basis points from the third quarter of 2023. Total cost of deposits was 2.82% for the fourth quarter of 2023, a 20 basis point increase from the third quarter of 2023.
