Stellar Bancorp upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Stephens

Stephens analyst Matt Olney upgraded Stellar Bancorp to Overweight from Equal Weight with a price target of $40, up from $37, driven by his view that the bank will maintain a favorable liquidity position for 2023. His 2023 and 2024 forecast is the "Street high" as he believes consensus doesn’t consider the bank’s strong liquidity position or its likely purchase accounting accretion from the associated fair value marks, Olney said.
