Standex initiated with bullish view at DA Davidson, here’s why

DA Davidson analyst Michael Shlisky initiated coverage of Standex with a Buy rating and $165 price target. The firm also added a “Best-of-Breed Bison designation,” which is its initiative to identify the best long-term value potential through a uniform set of criteria. Standex “flew under the radar for quite some time as it worked through a head-to-toe transformation,” the analyst tells investors in a research note. Davidson says results “have been extraordinary,” adding the company may only be half-way toward its goal thanks to its focus on customized, high-margin solutions. It views Standex as a core Industrial holding.
