Spotify plans to test a free audiobook bundle for its paying subscribers sometime in the coming months, Anne Steele and Jeffrey Trachtenberg of the Wall Street Journal report. The company is working with some of the largest publishers in the U.S. and will allow subscribers to listen up to 20 hours a month with no additional cost, people familiar with the matter told the Journal. The company intends to offer the program for a limited time to gauge customer interest.
