Digital music, podcast, and video service firm Spotify has found its priorities in the podcasting vertical, writes Ariel Shapiro, for the Verge. After investing $1 billion on podcast assets and cutting a good number of podcasting employees the company has narrowed its focus for the space to "more video, more consolidation, and more splashy names," added the Verge story. "At the company’s Stream On event in Los Angeles, head of global podcast studios Julie McNamara unveiled new video podcasts that’ll appeal to younger listeners," added the story. Reference Link
