SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son is focusing on a secretive investing operation separate from the Vision Fund, which is working on an effort that goes by the code name Project R, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter, The Information’s Cory Weinberg and Kate Clark report. Son has made bets on a nascent autonomous vehicle startup and AI is another area of focus for the project, according to the report.
