As of April 18, 2024, Microsoft-published (MSFT) video games make up seven of the top 25 best-selling games on Sony‘s (SONY) online PlayStation Store, TweakTown’s Derek Strickland reports. Among the top-selling games under Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios brand on the PS Store are “Fallout 4,” “Fallout 76,” “Call of Duty,” “Overwatch 2,” “Minecraft,” “Sea of Thieves,” and “Grounded,” the author says. Nearly the Xbox games selling so well on the PS Store are developed and/or published by studios that Microsoft has acquired over the past decade or so, namely Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and Mojang. Strickland notes that Sony-published titles make up five of the top 25.
