Senate panel expands investigation into BMW over supplier concerns, Reuters says

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon who chairs the Senate Finance Committee, said he was expanding the panel’s investigation into BMW’s use of electronic components from a banned Chinese supplier, Reuters’ David Shepardson reports. In a letter to BMW North America CEO Sebastian Mackensen, Wyden asked the company if it has completed its review of its supply chain to determine if certain products it imported contained components from China’s Sichuan Jingweida Technology Group, the author notes.
