Sam Altman is set to return as CEO of OpenAI five days after the board fired him, The Wall Street Journal’s Deepa Seetharaman reports. The company plans to form a new initial board, including Bret Taylor, the former co-CEO of Salesforce (CRM), Larry Summers, the former Treasury secretary, and Adam D’Angelo, the only member of OpenAI’s previous board to remain. TThe new board is expected to add as many as six additional members, according to a person familiar with the matter. OpenAI’s biggest investor is Microsoft (MSFT).
