RTX (RTX) business Pratt & Whitney announced that Chilean-based Sky Airline has entered into a memorandum of understanding to select the GTF engine to power 10 firm Airbus (EADSY) A321XLR aircraft, with options for 29 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. With this selection, Sky Airline becomes a first-time Pratt & Whitney customer. Pratt & Whitney plans to provide long-term maintenance services via an EngineWise Comprehensive service agreement. Founded in Chile in 2001, Sky is a low-cost airline that operates a fleet of Airbus A320/A321neo aircraft.
