BTIG downgraded Piedmont Lithium to Neutral from Buy without a price target. The analyst remains bullish on the longer term outlook for lithium demand, but says the ongoing slowdown in electric vehicle adoption in North America combined with the slower than expected uptake for battery storage demand points to continued weakness in lithium prices in the near term. The firm cites the “challenging backdrop” for the downgrade Piedmont Lithium.
