PG&E denied application to transfer non-nuclear generation assets to Pac Gen

On Friday, the California Public Utilities Commission denied the application of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, or PG&E, seeking authorization for PG&E to transfer substantially all of its non-nuclear generation assets to Pacific Generation, or Pac Gen, based on the proposed decision of Administrative Law Judge Sophia J. Park, as well as the issuance of a certificate of public convenience and necessity to Pacific Generation to operate as a utility subject to the California Public Utilities Commission’s jurisdiction and other authorizations and determinations.
