Pet owners blaming Zoetis arthritis drug for pet illnesses, WSJ says

Librela and a similar treatment for cats and dogs are an important franchise for maker Zoetis, but “now they are at the center of a medical mystery” as some pet owners blame the drugs for sickening their animals, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal’s Jennifer Calfas. Health regulators in the U.S. and Europe are conducting reviews, but Zoetis says the medicines are safe, with reports of side effects representing well less than 1% of the more than 18 million shots of both drugs combined administered to date in the U.S. and abroad, the report noted.
