Pentagon asks Congress to shift $300M in funds toward drones, Bloomberg says

The Pentagon has sent Congress a classified request to shift $300M in funds to speed development and purchasing of its first Replicator drones, according to Bloomberg’s Tony Capaccio, citing sources. This initial request to reprogram funding previously approved for other purposes must be approved by all four congressional defense committees, the report noted. Among the initial candidates that will benefit from a shift of fiscal 2023 funds is the Switchblade 600, produced by AeroVironment, the report added.
