Orgenesis’ Octomera expands partnership with UC Davis

Orgenesis announced continued progression of the Point of Care network and infrastructure for the advanced therapeutic services and facilities business through its subsidiary Octomera. The teams have been confirmed as an industrial partner to the University of California Davis, a leading academic institution, following a recent California Institute of Regenerative Medicine grant focused on “Creating a Collaborative California Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing Network.” UC Davis and Orgenesis announced an initial collaboration in 2020, and the relationship has continued to evolve into 2023. Both parties are interested in expanding on the point of care network model Orgenesis deploys by aligning the tools, experts, and resources needed to decentralize medical innovation. OMPULs will be deployed for production in 2024.
