OpenAI, which is 49% owned by Microsoft, is talking to investors about a possible share sale that would value the artificial-intelligence startup behind ChatGPT at between $80B-$90B, which would be “almost triple its level earlier this year,” people familiar with the discussions told The Wall Street Journal’s Deepa Seetharaman and Berber Jin.
