NYT tech workers to strike over return-to-office rules, Bloomberg reports

Tech workers at the New York Times plan to strike for half a day on Monday, accusing the publisher of attempting to unilaterally force them back to the office, Bloomberg’s Josh Eidelson reports. The work stoppage will begin at 1pm ET and the union will hold demonstrations on Zoom and outside the media company’s headquarters in Manhattan, according to the report, which adds that the vast majority of the nearly 700 employees in the tech guild have agreed to participate in the strike.
