An investment consortium that includes BlackRock (BLK), Global Infrastructure Partners, Abu Dhabi fund MGX, Nvidia (NVDA), Microsoft (MSFT) and xAI has struck a $40B deal to acquire Texas-based Aligned Data Centers, one of the world’s largest data center operators, from Macquarie Asset Management, reported Financial Times’ Antoine Gara and James Fontanella-Khan.
