The general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board said that Starbucks violated federal law by refusing to fairly negotiate with workers at dozens of unionized stores across the U.S., Bloomberg’s Josh Eideslon reports. Agency spokesperson Kayla Blado said the counsel determined that the coffee giant violated labor law because it refused to participate in collective bargaining sessions if some staff were present via videoconference, the author notes.
