Starbuck’s incoming CEO Laxman Narasimhan intends to maintain regular contact with departing CEO Howard Schultz, but it will be clear who is in charge, Heather Haddon of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing comments from both men. "There’s places where he can be really helpful. The world, though, needs boxes and lines. There’s one CEO, and that’s me," Narasimhan said in an interview, according to the Journal. Prior to officially stepping into the CEO role on March 20, Narasimhan has spent time over the last few months as a barista at different cafes. During this time, the new CEO has learned the company has too many cup and lid pairings as well as why one cup of coffee can be frustrating for barista’s to make.
