News Corp. eyeing joint bid with rivals for Telegraph, Bloomberg reports

News Corp. and the publisher of the U.K.’s Daily Mail are considering a joint offer for Telegraph Media Group Ltd., the company that owns the Telegraph newspaper and Spectator magazine, Bloomberg’s Alex Wickham and Jamie Nimmo report. According to people familiar with the matter, a bid would reduce UAE-backed investment fund RedBird IMI’s stake in Telegraph Media and could ease U.K. government concerns over control of the media outlet. The discussions are preliminary and it isn’t clear whether parties would reach an agreement and whether they could ultimately split up the assets, according to the people.
