Square Enix’s (SQNXF) “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” was the best-selling game in Japan for the month of March, selling 310,596 units, Gamesindustry.biz’s James Batchelor reports, citing data from Famitsu. The role-playing game saw the second biggest launch month ever in terms of physical sales for a PlayStation 5 (SONY) title in Japan, the author says. Atlus’ (SGAMY) “Unicorn Overlord” was the second best-selling video game in the country last month, while Sony-published “Rise of the Ronin” took third place, the author notes.
