Netflix has defeated a lawsuit that was filed by shareholders in a federal court in California accusing it of hiding the extent of which account-sharing was hindering growth, Reuters reports. In May 2022, a Texas-based trust sued Netflix after it lost a third of its value when it announced subscribers were decreasing for the first time in a decade. On Friday, the U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar ruled the lawsuit included no evidence the company was aware of the extent of the problem for as long as the shareholders alleged.
