Nearly new Airbus jets are being stripped for parts, Reuters reports

At Castellon airport in eastern Spain, nearly new Airbus (EADSY) aircrafts are being stripped for parts, Tim Hepher, Allison Lampert and Eva Manez of Reuters reports. Despite booming demand for planes, a shortage of fuel-efficient engines has flipped the market, with some engines now worth more than the aircraft they power. According to industry insiders, this imbalance has led to over a dozen Airbus jets being dismantled for parts after only a few years of services.
