At Castellon airport in eastern Spain, nearly new Airbus (EADSY) aircrafts are being stripped for parts, Tim Hepher, Allison Lampert and Eva Manez of Reuters reports. Despite booming demand for planes, a shortage of fuel-efficient engines has flipped the market, with some engines now worth more than the aircraft they power. According to industry insiders, this imbalance has led to over a dozen Airbus jets being dismantled for parts after only a few years of services.
