Microsoft argues to FTC that Activision deal should go through, Verge says

In response to the FTC’s lawsuit challenging its proposed takeover of Activision Blizzard (ATVI), Microsoft (MSFT) contends that the deal should go through, though it admitted it plans to make three future titles from Bethesda exclusive to Xbox and PC, The Verge’s Mitchell Clark reported last night. In the response, the Xbox maker tries to paint itself as a relatively weak player in the gaming space compared to competitors Sony (SONY) and Nintendo (NTDOY) and promised to expand the availability of Activision’s flagship "Call of Duty" franchise to Nintendo Swich and Steam, the author notes. "Even with confidence in our case, we remain committed to creative solutions with regulators that will protect competition, consumers, and workers in the tech sector," said Microsoft president Brad Smith. "As we’ve learned from our lawsuits in the past, the door never closes on the opportunity to find an agreement that can benefit everyone." Reference Link
