Meta (META) is preparing to remove its Messenger apps for Windows (MSFT) and macOS (AAPL), with both apps having already been removed from the Microsoft Store and Mac App Store and existing users beginning to receive notifications that the desktop apps will disappear completely in December, The Verge’s Tom Warren reports. Mac Messenger app users have 60 days to use the app before it gets fully deprecated, while the Windows Messenger app is notifying users the app won’t be available starting December 14, the author notes.
