Lionsgate Vice Chair Michael Burns said the company expects to begin the split of its studio business from Starz in early April amid the studio merging with a SPAC, Deadline’s Jill Goldsmith reports, citing comments made at the Morgan Stanley media conference. Yhe parent company will keep 87% of the studio stock initially for tax reasons, along with all of Starz, and the plan is fully separate the studio from Starz by the end of 2024.
