Seaport Research initiated coverage of LanzaTech with a Buy rating and $5 price target. LanzaTech’s biorefineries currently produce low-carbon ethanol, called Lanzanol, that receives a price premium in the EU, where certification will allow Lanzanol to be sold in fuel markets as an advanced sustainable fuel, the analyst tells investors. Lanzanol is also a low-carbon feedstock for spin-off LanzaJet’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel, or SAF, production, the analyst noted.
