JPMorgan is ordering managing directors to work five days a week in the office, The Financial Times’ Joshua Franklin reports. "Our leaders play a critical role in reinforcing our culture and running our businesses," JPMorgan’s operating committee wrote in an internal memo to staff on Wednesday, adding that "They have to be visible on the floor, they must meet with clients, they need to teach and advise, and they should always be accessible for immediate feedback and impromptu meetings." Other employees are required to be in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless their role requires them to be in the office five days a week, and the bank is warning employees not to fall short of their "in-office attendance expectations."
