Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is in talks to acquire Shockwave Medical (SWAV) and a deal could be finalized in the coming weeks, Lauren Thomas and Laura Cooper of Wall Street Journal report, citing people familiar with the matter. It is also possible another suitor could emerge, the Journal adds. Shares of Shockwave jumped 8% to $311.29 following the report before being halted for volatility.
