JetBlue Airways (JBLU) told staff that it is cutting back on a host of routes in the carrier’s latest move to cut costs in the wake of a failed attempt to acquire Spirit Airlines (SAVE), reported CNBC’s Leslie Josephs, citing a memo to staff. The carrier will reduce its departures from Los Angeles International Airport from about 34 a day to 24, focusing on profitable transcontinental routes, and is also cutting other routes, the report noted.
