Jefferies notes that Goldman Sachs reiterated "through-the-cycle" targets for 14%-16% ROE, 15%-17% ROTE and a 60% efficiency ratio at its investor day. While added cost measures and a time period for alts balance sheet reduction were positives from the event, the "open-ended discussion around strategic alternatives for parts of Consumer platforms adds uncertainty," said the analyst, who has a Buy rating and $420 price target on Goldman shares.
