InterDigital (IDCC) announced that its arbitration with Samsung Electronics has concluded and that the two companies have entered into a new patent license agreement. “We welcome the conclusion of the arbitration process and our agreement with Samsung,” commented Julia Mattis, interim chief licensing officer, InterDigital. “Samsung is one of our longest licensees and I am delighted that we have been able to continue our long-term partnership. Samsung’s previous license to InterDigital’s portfolio of cellular wireless and video technologies expired December 31, 2022. The two companies announced in January 2023 that they would enter into binding arbitration to determine the final terms of a new agreement.
