InterDigital, Concordia University announce research collaboration

InterDigital and Concordia University’s Intelligent Next Generation Networking and Multimedia, or IN2GM, Lab have announced a multi-year research and development collaboration offering PhD and master’s students an opportunity to explore tools that support AI-enabled end-to-end delivery of immersive media over 5G networks. Specifically, the collaboration supports research and innovation into novel media delivery paradigms, approaches, prototype tools, and evaluation results. The research will also explore the development of systems that support the efficient delivery of high-quality, six degrees of freedom, volumetric immersive media content over 5G networks.
