Intel to partner with Japanese companies for chipmaking automation, Nikkei says

Intel is partnering with 14 Japanese companies to develop technology by 2028 to automate the largely manual “back-end” chipmaking processes like packaging, Nikkei Asia’s Ryo Mukano and Riho Nagao report. The tie-up will be led by Kunimasa Suzuki, the head of Intel’s Japanese arm.
