Intel (INTC) recently argued with EU antitrust regulators over a $421.4M fine levied two year ago for excluding rivals from the market, stating it was disproportionate and unfair, Foo Yun Chee of Reuters reports. The case dated back to 2009 when the European Commission placed a EUR 1.06B fine on the company for blocking a rival, but the company convinced the General Court to scrap the penalty in 2022. The judges, however, agreed with one part of the 2009 decision, prompting the EU watchdog to re-impose a EUR 376M fine.
