HSBC is building up its green finance and bond teams in China to meet increasing demand, Reuters’ Iain Withers, Selena Li, and Sinead Cruise report, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter. Chairman Mark Tucker met with regulatory officials in Beijing last week to help clear the path for the lender to accelerate growth in China, including the country’s fast-growing $3.9T fund market, the authors note.
