Hong Kong investigating new monkeypox case, SCMP reports

Hong Kong health authorities are investigating a new monkeypox case involving a close contact of the city’s fifth confirmed infection, reported South China Morning Post’s Danny Mok. A Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating Siga Technologies’ (SIGA) antiviral tecovirimat, also known as TPOXX, has been enrolling adults and children with monkeypox infection in the United States, the National Institutes of Health previously announced. Chimerix (CMRX) and Bavarian Nordic (BVNRY) are other makers of smallpox vaccines. Reference Link
